Manufactured in 1950. It is believed that the Pachmayr team custom finished this gun around the same time as they made a special rifle for Ronald Reagan currently housed at Cody. The basis for this rifle is a standard post-War carbine with hooded ramp front sight, a buckhorn rear sight, and a checkered Niedner style steel butt plate. Stocked in highly grained Circassian walnut, finely hand checkered with fleur-dis-lis pattern. The deep relief hand engraved frame features a silver inlaid cougar on left and right side completely surrounded by American scroll. There is 1" of engraving at breech as well as engraving on bands and lever. The hammer is jeweled. There is an inset brass plaque at base of stock that reads "Donated by Nanitta & Frank Pachmayr". CONDITION: Excellent. Shows in near new condition as finished with just minor handling marks. Mechanically sound. Bore is bright. Stunning. From the Robert C. Renneberg Collection
