Pair of Winchester Custom Shop Model 21 ejector guns in 28 and .410 bores with 28” barrels which were owned by the Shah of Iran. Both guns are choked negative choke and Improved Cylinder. Length of pull of 14 - 1/4” to a checkered butt. English stock, gold plated single selectable mechanical trigger, auto-safety, hold open top lever, raised matted vent rib, single red front bead, vacant gold oval, beavertail forend, silver inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the safety catch, “R” and “L” for barrel selection engraved by the trigger, and serial number on the top strap. Jeweled standing face, breach face, ejectors, barrel flats, and lumps. Winchester Model 21 hangtags on both guns. The barrels are a combination of dovetail and chopper lump styles. Both guns are engraved with scroll and single game scene vignettes on each side. A pair of flushing quail on the right, pair of flushing ducks one the left, and a pointer and a setter on point on the underside. Blued action and furniture. Exhibition grade walnut stock with hand rubbed oil finish and an ebony forend tip. Ribbon and fleur-de-lis checkering on the grip and forend. Accompanied by copies of the Winchester invoice, including the spec sheet; most notably is the notation ""A special M/21 Custom Grade Gun which has John Olin's (underlined) sanction - please initiate a make set". CONDITION: Excellent overall. Bores and bluing on barrels rate excellent. No wear to bluing on the action and bottom strap. Checkering remains crisp and original. Stocks show minimal signs of use and remain in excellent condition. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time for both guns.
