According to included factory research this rifle shipped November 30, 1892 with an octagon barrel in .40-82, plain trigger, and fancy pistol grip stock. The blued octagon barrel is fitted with a Marble Sheard front sight, sporting rear, and full length magazine tube. Case hardened frame with single trigger. Deluxe checkered walnut forend mounted with a case hardened nose cap with sling eye. Attractive, highly figured, checkered walnut pistol grip stock with double line cheek piece and plastic WRACO shotgun butt plate. Receiver tang marked with "561 XX", a corresponding "561" added to the stock channel. Includes vintage leather sling. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains the majority of its fading factory blue with toning, especially along the high edges. Magazine tube has largely faded to patina with finish retained in more protected areas. Receiver displays flashes of case color, especially in protected areas, the balance a silvery patina with defined patterning. Strong nitre blue retained on loading gate. Stocks are fine, well fit replacements with light handling. Some grain checking present on the butt. Bore is strong and bright with some older abrasions. Fine mechanics.
