Manufactured in 1894. Only a total of 1167 rifles and carbines were ever produced in this caliber. Equally rare to the caliber is the takedown feature. Standard features include a full octagon barrel, full tube, German silver front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, and walnut stocks with rifle butt plate. This matches the factory letter stating it was shipped in 1894. CONDITION: Very good. This is a very crisp rifle but metal is a smooth patina. Barrel legends are sharp. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with a small area of dings on right side. Mechanically functional. Bore is bold with light frosting.
