Circa 1909 per Madis. This handsome rifle has been professionally restored and upgraded. Blued octagon barrel with full length magazine tube, Marbles gold bead front sight, and sporting rear. Receiver has been engraved in the factory No. 10 style, the left side featuring a vignette of an 8 point buck, flanked by foliate scroll and surrounded by a tight scroll border. Upgraded deluxe checkered figured walnut forend and stock with pistol grip, composition grip cap, and case hardened rifle buttplate. No assembly numbers present on receiver tang or stock channel. CONDITION: Very good as restored. Nearly all of the expertly applied blue is retained with areas of freckling throughout. Strong case colors displayed on the hammer and lever, the butt plate showing fading. Stocks have a few handling marks but are otherwise very fine. Mirror bore. Crisp mechanics. A lovely rifle.
