Circa 1917. This carbine features a highly desirable special order 15" blued barrel with full length magazine tube retained by a pair of barrel bands. Pinned white bead blade front sight and ladder rear. Blued frame with saddle ring. Correct short 8" carbine forend and plain walnut stock with carbine butt plate. This example is listed on the ATF Curio & Relics list by serial number as exempted from the provisions of the NFA. CONDITION: Fine for its age. Barrel and magazine tube retain nearly all of the factory blue, the barrel bands developing a toned patina. Receiver retains the majority of its factory blue with expected flaking towards the front, as well as a saddle ring ghost. Strong nitre blue displayed on the loading gate. Stocks are fine with a few scattered impressions and some spotting. Very fine, bright and shiny bore. Fine mechanics. A very nice example.
