Manufactured in 1922. This Black Diamond is stamped "TRAP GUN" on the bolt. Extra grade wood, at least XX, with an English straight grip, finely hand checkered, with inset ebony black diamonds on both sides of wrist, a gutta percha Winchester buttplate, and matching forearm. This is a takedown and features a matted barrel with single bead front sight with Winchester barrel legends. Finish is standard blue. CONDITION: Excellent. The frame retains nearly all its bright blue with some scattered minor handling marks and light freckles. The takedown ring still retains 80% bright blue. Barrel shows minimal handling marks. Even the tube retains 90% blue with typical wear marks from working slide. The slide bar with Model 97 legend has flaked. The stocks are fantastic with very minor handling marks. Mechanically functional. Bore is bright. It will be a long time before you can possibly find a nicer example.
