Originally manufactured circa 1976, this carbine was ordered through the Winchester Custom Shop in 1978. It is built with a standard carbine length barrel and full length magazine tube retained by a pair of barrel bands. Hooded, ramped front sight and adjustable rear. Receiver engraved in the No. 10 pattern. Left side features a vignette of a ram in a Western landscape with scroll embellishments on each side and tight scroll borders. Right side has an 8 point buck vignette with scrollwork. Loading gate is factory jeweled. Deluxe checkered carbine forend and straight grip stock of fine figure with checkered plastic WRACO butt plate. The original invoice for the carbine, detailing the custom work is included with this lot and is framed for display. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory finishes are retained. Stocks shows some spotting. Bright, sharp bore. Fine mechanics.
