Spearpoint blade with false back and a central fuller, marked "DUMOUTHIER" and "BREVETE (indistinguishable)" of left side on either side of barrels. Barrels are fit into the fuller, and the bifurcated crossguard has one side that functions as the hammers. Checkered heads, and when the right hammer is cocked, the folding trigger is deployed. Percussion nipples are hidden by the hammers when they are not cocked. Braided ivory grip scales and a German silver buttcap. Scabbard with German silver throat and drag with a green velvet body. In a leather case with stylized scrollwork embossed on lid with gothic "C.C." initials Interior lined in velvet, originally purple, and now faded. French fit for the pistol, capping tool marked "BOCHE / BREVETE" on reverse, combination bullet mold, sprue cutter, turnscrew, and tamper, and a powder flask with horn body and herman silver hardware. Two slots hold a spare pair of nipples, and a compartment that holds the lock face. CONDITION: Blade with evidence of cleaning and polishing, with some surface spotting. Grip scales very good, taking on a rich honey coloring. Case very good with some loose thread and damaged partitions, velvet now a foliage green, with purple coloring in protected areas. Accessories very good, powder flask with a splice repair and some bug damage, combination tool largely a brown patina. Mechanically fine, bores very good.
