Receiver dated to 1954. The Super Grade style walnut stock appears to be XXX grained and features elaborate bordered hand checkering pistol grip, hand carved scroll at base of butt, Monte Carlo comb, roll over cheek piece, checkered steel butt plate, Super Grade type swivels, black forearm tip, and a vacant oval nameplate. The frame in delicately scroll engraved with gold inlaid moose, bear, and buffalo on right side, a standing grizzly on barrel breech, and a large cat on right side, all surrounded by gold outline. The barrel exhibits scroll engraving with gold bands and serial number is also in gold. The floor plate is engraved en suite with a large gold buck. The engraved trigger guard features a gold ram. The grip cap is carved ivory. The bolt is jeweled with no visible serial number. Standard features include blue finish, hooded ramp front sight and folding leaf rear. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains virtually all its original finish with just minor handling. Stock is superb with minor impressions. Mechanically sound. Lightly frosted strong bore. A stunning rifle.

CORRECTION: There is scattered oxidation present, particularly in protected areas.
