Receiver dates to 1936. This was a catalogued caliber from 1933-1936. Page 15 & 16 in "Rifleman's Rifle" describes and pictures this rifle, which was apparently offered only in 1935. Distinct features include the grooved integral front sight base with a Lyman #17 A Globe along with a Lyman 48W receiver sight. The barrel and bridge sport scope blocks are exactly as pictured in the 1935 price list. The checkered steel butt plate is the correct NRA style with diamond around lower screw. The Winchester barrel legend on left shows caliber. Finish is blue. The Super Grade type walnut stock features the checkered pistol grip with Winchester cap, straight comb, roll over cheek piece, Super Grade type swivels as well as black forearm tip. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains virtually all of its blue finish with a few spots on floor plate and minor handling marks. Stock is excellent with some light scattered impressions. Mechanically sound. Bore is bright.

CONDITION: The trigger guard assembly and stock have been refinished.
