BC date code for 1993. Mono-bloc barrels fit with a solid matte rib with bead front sight, and engraved "P. Beretta -ITALY-" on left side of upper tube, ahead of block. Italian nitro proofs for a 28 gauge with a nominal 13.9 IBD and 70mm (2 - 3/4") chambers at 1,050 KG. Other legends as standard, including Beretta importer information on right side on upper tube, steel designation, etc. Svelte splinter forearm with point pattern checkering about the a Deely style latch release and a pair of escutcheons. Exterior iron engraved with floral motifs and scrollwork. Interior iron with matching serial number. Sidelocks are engraved with fabulous bulino scenes depicting a pair of woodcock flying into a mountainous scene on the left, a pair of quail flying through a meadows edge, and underside with a grouse flying across a birch tree. Vignettes are supported by miniscule finely cut scrollwork with floral tendril elements. Engraving is signed "G. Steduto" on left lockplate and the bottom of the bar. Non automatic safety with gold "S" ahead of slide, break open lever with a gold crown, mechanical single trigger protected by a long tang trigger guard with engraving en suite and an open vignette on trigger guard bow. Excellent marbled and and figured walnut stock with deep pistol grip, point pattern checkering about the wrist, and a checkered butt. Housed in a leather wrapped Emmebi case lined in foliage green with leather Beretta trade label in lid and housing accessories comprising three part cleaning rod, mop, jag, and brush, bottle of Beretta oil, golden oil bottle with PB monogram on lid, pair snapcaps, and key. CONDITION: Barrels with virtually all of their original factory finish with some minor handling marks and rubs, some very mild thinning to muzzles. Stocks excellent, with some extremely minor marks. Locks excellent, engraving is crisp and gorgeous. Mechanically fine, ejectors are strong but slightly out of time, top firing first, bores excellent. A lovely little upland gun.
