Barrels with narrow, matted, vent rib fit with an ivory bead front sight. Barrels are engraved 2 - 1/4" triangles of scroll over the breeches, with bolsters engraved en suite. Slightly schnabeled forerarm with modified point pattern checkering and Browning's sliding latch system. Matching serial number over chamber of under barrel, and marked "**" and "**-" for Modified over Improved Cylinder. Superlight action with Midas engraving, depicting a vignette of ascending pheasant in a meadow on the left, a quail on underside, and a trio of mallards in midflight on the right, all supported by open scrollwork with acanthus florals and a punchdot background. The vignette of pheasant is signed "J.M. Debrus", while the scroll is signed "E. Vos" in two places at rear of action. Gold washed single selective trigger, non-automatic safety with "S" ahead of slide, "O" and "U" abutting for selector positions. Lovely figured walnut stock with sidepanels, straight grip, modified point pattern checkering about the wrist, and Browning composite buttplate. In tan Browning case with white faux fur lining. Discretely import marked by Simpson. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory finishes with some very minor handling marks, likely shop wear. Trigger is losing wash where it contacts plate. Stocks excellent with some very minor marks en suite. Mechanically fine, bores excellent. Ejectors are strong and in time. A fabulous example.
