Dates to 1880. Features the blue and case color standard finish with fire blue screws, all true, and a one piece set of walnut grips. The US stamp is on left side of frame with three line patent stamp. Matching numbers under the barrel, on cylinder, frame, trigger guard, and back strap. "DFC" is stamped under barrel and on cylinder, both also with "P" proof. One line barrel address, screw in black powder frame and oval rod head. No sign of cartouche stamps on grips. CONDITION: Excellent as masterfully restored, does not appear recent as there are multiple striations on circumference of cylinder, high edge wear on trigger guard, age freckling on back strap and handling marks on grip strap, some thinning at muzzle and along side of barrel with scattered small handling marks. Frame colors are brilliant. Hammer colors are darkening and the screws retain majority of fire blue. Grips are well fitting with minor abrasions. Exhibits four distinctive clicks and bore is bold and bright with one minor spot of abrasion. Sharp Cavalry in superb condition.
