CN date codes for 2015. Both sets of barrels with mono-blocs, depressed bead front sights on a smooth, solid, narrowing flat rib engraved "BERETTA" over the chambers and numbered "1" and "2" in gold. Mono blocs are decorated with scrollwork. Left side of tubes with designations for 28" 28 gauges with 2 - 3/4" (70mm) chambers ahead of bloc, Beretta information behind. Right side with Beretta information and Excelsior steel designation behind bloc, manual warning ahead. Underside with Italian nitro proofs for a 28 gauge with a nominal 13.9 IBD at 1,130 KG. Fit for Beretta chokes, currently installed are Full and Modified. Matching splinter forearms with reinforced Anson style plunger releases and point pattern checkering about central esctucehons with gold "1" and "2" respectively. Exterior iron engraved in an interesting fashion, utilizing stippling and negative space to depict scrollwork. Interior iron with selector switch for manual extraction and automatic ejection. Sideplated boxlock actions are gorgeously engraved in ultrafine dotwork and bulino to depict portraits of game birds including partridge, ducks, woodcock, quail, grouse, and pigeon. Birds are supported by outstanding scrollwork and vignettes of pastoral scenes signed "BERETTA" on bottom of each action and "Perlotti S. INC" on base of action. Single inertia-driven triggers with beaded trigger guards signed "1" and "2" in gold at rear of bows, and engraved with scrollwork en suite. Automatic safeties with "S" ahead of slides, and horizontal slide with two positions for barrel selectors. Richly marbled and well colored walnut stocks with panels of point pattern checkering about the deep pistol grip, and a nicely colored wood extension. Housed in a two gun case with leather Beretta trade label in lid and housing accessories comprising Beretta paperwork, pair choke wrenches, pair oil bottles, and extra chokes: two each Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, and Improved Modified. Both guns are discretely import marked by Simpson. CONDITION: Excellent, NOS or equivalent, with some extremely minor marks from handling and manufacture. Engraving crisp and well cut. Stocks excellent. Case commensurate. (A) barrels a little loose on face. Ejectors are in time. Barrels with frosting ahead of chambers.
