Produced only for 1 year, in 1986 as a 150th anniversary set consisting of a matched 6" Python and an Officer's Model produced with reversed serial numbers. Housed in a glass top display case with a Colt craftsmanship medallion. Both guns are in standard configurations and finished in Colt's bright stainless finish and fitted with smooth walnut grips that have inset silver medallions. Housed in the appropriate glass top case with appropriate accessories and with original Colt boxes matching by serial number. Both guns are discretely import marked by Simpson. CONDITION: Excellent, with some minor handling marks and superficial scratches common to bright polished finishes. Python has a minor turn line. Both are mechanically fine and have strong rifling and heavy frosting. Some crazing to grips, and scattered impressions but free of cracks. Medallion excellent. Case has evidence of repair to lining about perimeter, and the "COLT" logo frosting is missing part of the "C". Boxes with heavy handling marks, but solid and legible. This is an excellent example of a rare set.
