Monobloc barrels with a narrow, deeply swamped, matted rib with an aluminum bead front sight. Engraved at the rear of the rib and onto the doll's head extension with stiff leaf and floral elements, while breeches are dressed with 1 - 1/2" triangles of acanthus scrollwork. Barrel flats with French proofs for a 12 gauge with 70mm chambers (2 - 3/4") and a nominal 18.5 IBD proofed at 1300 BAR, with three stars on left barrel and five on right for choke codes. Wide bottom forearm with an Anson style plunger release with a modified point pattern, engraved with scrollwork on exterior iron. Round action with modified rising bites that interface with doll's head, engraved in nearly complete coverage of acanthus scrollwork with floral elements throughout and a deeply impressed "IDEAL" poincon on underside, ahead of trigger plate. Double triggers with sliding safety protected by a short tang trigger guard with an open oval vignette supported by scroll, with blued lever mounted to rear. Nicely streaked walnut stock checkered in point pattern about the straight grip, and fit with a clever retractable sling, with attaches to a base screwed to underside of barrel rib. Leather wrapped recoil pad. CONDITION: Barrels with the vast majority of their bluing with scattered handling marks and rubs throughout, with some thinning to sides, and silvering at muzzle and where forearm contacts barrels. Action with crisp engraving. Stocks very good with handling marks and impressions, heavier on butt, but free of cracks or chips. Mechanically fine, bores with some firing striations ahead of chambers, ejectors need attention as they are not fully firing and will not throw snapcaps.
