Finished in brilliant factory nickel, this fantastically dressed revolver features lovely floral factory engraving with approximately 60% coverage. The barrel has punch dot and tendril motifs toward the muzzle, similar patterns also engraved on the lug. The Hopkins and Allen address on the left side has pleasant engraved borders, with floral blooms at the breech and on the right side. Standard Merwin Hulbert address roll stamped along the top. Integral front sight blade and u-notch rear. The scoop fluted cylinder continues the floral motif with blooms engraved between the flutes. Frame is likewise floral engraved. Left side features a shield shaped panel with a ferocious panther head. Right side has a black enamel highlighted and stipple shaded band. Grips are smooth 2-piece ivory. Matching assembly numbers observed on the left side of the frame under the grip, barrel lug, cylinder, and cylinder pin. CONDITION: Excellent, near new condition. Nearly all of the lustrous factory nickel is retained with a faint turn line and other superficial marks. Cylinder face is free of burn. Trigger exhibits brilliant nitre blue with faint thinning on the face. Case colors on the hammer are strong. Grips have a pleasant cream patina and are possibly replacements. Bright and shiny bore. Hand is broken, otherwise mechanics are crisp. A phenomenally attractive and high condition Merwin Hulbert.
