Second model manufactured circa 1899. Blued octagon barrel with 2-line address and "22 SHORT" caliber designation. Sporting sights. Case hardened takedown frame as was standard until 1901. Serrated walnut slide and straight grip stock with case hardened crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory blue is retained on the barrel with faint silvering along the high edges. Receiver retains generous, bright case colors with muting towards the front, at the high edges, and on the trigger guard and tang. Stock remains proud with some scattered minor impressions. Butt plate has faded to patina with some cleaned spotting. Good, bright bore with some light abrasions. Fine mechanics. A wonderful, stunning example.
