Papier-Mâché shoulder head with fancy black molded and painted hair in Apollo knot style, with cluster of curls on each side and on the back of her head (minor wear on back of hair, two light cracks on front neck), dainty painted face with blue painted eyes, brown eyelash line, tapered eyebrows, closed mouth with lip shading line, rosy cheeks. Original white kid body with wood lower arms and legs with white painted stockings and orange flat-soled slippers. Lovely gauze dress and undies appear original, but pink silk underskirt likely replaced. 1958 Blue Ribbon Winner. Rare to find one of these early dolls with such a vibrant original face color!
