Traces of original label. Manufacturer not indicated. A football action toy that should appeal to cast iron, sports and Harvard collectors. Features a kicker with a jersey emblazoned “H” across his chest, brown pants, and crimson painted socks. Cock his leg back, press the lever, and he will send one of the eight accompanying footballs downfield. Mounted to a round cast iron base marked “Pat. July 3rd 1900.” Comes with original wood dovetailed box and lid labeled with directions for use. Leg doesn’t stay cocked, but retains a strong spring.Belived to be the only known example.
