Germany, ca. 1900, a bisque clown with socket head incised DEP, blue glass eyes, open mouth with four teeth, blonde mohair wig. This fantastic Polichinelle type clown has a red and blue wool costume "wearing" a full-bodied papier mache polychrome rooster with glass eyes, on a faux grass painted wooden base with red washed metal wheels. When pulled along the clown moves one arm and turns his head.
Condition: 19" H.
