Early marble game board with red squares and wooden swivel tray for marbles. Includes 25 swirls of various types, possibly not original to this board. This game was originally owned by Daniel Dresbach, the first director or mayor of the town of Circleville, OH (and the one who had the new town surveyed and plated as a large circle). He held the job for nearly 40 years from 1810 until his death in 1850. Thus this game predates most of its type. It is discussed in Paul's second edition (p. 141) incorrectly stating "David" Dresbach but not pictured, since he did not own it at the time. Purchased in 1999 from the collection of Fred "Fritz" Weinrich.

Condition: Marbles (8.9) Board (Excellent).

Item Dimensions: Range: 9/16" to 11/16" Dia.
SOLITAIRE BOARD & MARBLES.
