Copyright 1888 Goodwin & Co. N.Y. Marked "Proof" on back, "P.H. Mayo & Brother Tobacco Co." on top, and "Burns L.F. Omaha W.A." on bottom. This photograph is a proof for an early baseball card. Photo is glued to cardboard frame. Some flash damage around edges. Burns was a left-fielder and eventually played in the Major Leagues for three years. He had six home runs in 1888 and hit over .300 every year he was in the Majors. Burns was 5'7", weighed 170 pounds, and died in 1909. Burns also played for the Cowboys and the Statesmen.
