Overall length: 55". Octagonal 39" barrel, flintlock, with four-piece patchbox on walnut stock. Unsigned. Lancaster School. Circa 1815 to 1825. Typical early 19th century Lancaster rifle, possibly Gibbs, Dreppert, or one of the Gumpf family. Re-conversion (possibly always percussion). Fore-end of stock is spliced (added) from the front of the fore-arm. Stock is heavily cleaned and stained.
