Overall length: 52 - 1/2". Octagon 36 - 1/2" barrel, percussion with four-piece patchbox, curly maple stocks. Reading-Womelsdorf School. Circa 1830 to 1845. Eight silver inlays. Possibly a re-stocked earlier rifle with a modern finish (high gloss) - always a percussion rifle.
