Overall length: 55 – ½”. Barrel length: 39 – ½”. J.P. Lower half stock rifle with full octagon .44 caliber barrel. No cap box in stock and crude percussion lock. Double set triggers. Lower is listed in Philadelphia in 1859, but moved west with the fur trade where he is known for his Plains rifles. Warm, old finish. Some pitting at breech. Good condition.
