Overall length: 53 - 1/2". Octagonal 38 - 1/2" barrel with original flintlock, four-piece patchbox on curly maple stock. Upper Dauphin County School. Circa 1830 to 1840. A very nice example of an "in-period" re-stock using (probably) Leonard Reedy parts with an original "J. Roop" flintlock, all in a very nicde curly maple stock with a wonderful, mellow and richly colored surface.
