This is an early 1800s powder horn which has been finely decorated with commemorative engraving done sometime in the 20th century. All of this later workmanship may have been done when these horns were of very little interest or value to people. However, that being said, the engraving of these Colonial-type figures, etc. are all wonderfully done and rather artistic.
