Made by Reading PA Ribbon & Badge Co. Large black and cream celluloid button from early 1900s with backpaper by "Reading Ribbon Badge Co.". Reverse has two-inch long hairline split by the collet but the celluloid lays totally flat and creates no problem. Rim text includes both his real name and nickname "Maj. G.W. Lillie. Pawnee Bill". Front surface has very minor traces of normal surface wear showing only in reflected light. Viewed straight-on the piece is totally clean and glossy and with perfect centering. Rare and from the personal Hake Collection.
