The following four caps have had names embossed on their leather sweatbands. The caps are original US Army General's caps with gold bullion leaves on the visors, three with gold bullion leaves embroidered on the bodies as well, but we are of the opinion that the names have been added post period. Consists of: A) High grade pre-World War II cap, interior marked by the maker "H.V. Allien New York", the name "D. MacArthur" has been embossed on the sweatband. B) High grade pre-World War II cap, interior marked "R.E. Vaugnan Louisville", embossed on the sweatband "Krueger, Walter". C) Interior marked by maker "Top Rank", the name "Gen Thomas T. Handy" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. D) White top cap with interior marked by maker "Berkshire Deluxe", the name "Lt Gen James M Gavin" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: All of the caps are in excellent condition.
