Lot contains: (A) Model 1902 New York National Guard Infantry Officer’s Cap. Cap band with blue center and gold bands, gold chin strap attached by New York state seal buttons. Gold wire New York state seal insignia directly embroidered to the front. Black satin interior lining marked " W.A. Raymond 99 Fourth Ave New York". CONDITION: Sweatband and underside of visor show moderate wear, exterior is in excellent condition. (B) 1902 Officer’s Cap with gold wire eagle directly embroidered onto the front. Gold chin strap with rimless eagle buttons. Black cotton interior lining marked "The M.C. Lilly Co Columbus Ohio". CONDITION: Excellent. (C) 1912 Officer’s Cap with gold wire eagle directly embroidered onto the front. Gold chin strap with rimed eagle buttons. CONDITION: Black cotton interior lining, leather sweatband partially re-sewn. Wool body in excellent condition. (D) 1902 Officer’s Cap with gold wire eagle directly embroidered onto the front. Gold chin strap with New Hampshire side buttons. CONDITION: Black satin interior lining and leather sweatband show moderate service wear, visor exhibits crazing. (E) 1902 Officer’s Cap featuring gold wire eagle with Maryland National Guard crest directly embroidered onto the front, velvet band. Gold chinstrap with rimless Maryland state seal buttons. Black satin interior lining embossed "New York Clothing House Baltimore MD". CONDITION: Visor shows light crazing, wool and velvet body are in excellent condition. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
