Lot consists of: (A) Large drinking horn of 10-1/2" with convex cork plug at bottom. Horn is decorated with designs showing an European influence including stylized hearts, foliate motifs, and floral designs. The initials "RAR" and "CDI" are inscribed on the body. The horn is complete with its probably original leather handle retained by two iron staples. CONDITION: Very good with a dark patina overall, some minor chipping to lip. (B) Small 7-1/2" drinking horn with period leather handle retained by two iron staples. Horn is engraved with a mermaid, and a bullfighter, as well as a man next to a sitting dog playing a wind instrument. CONDITION: Some deterioration to surface of cork base, and a nice, dark overall patina with some handling wear.
