Lot consists of: The larger 22" (55cm) doll wears a pink silk dress and has an unmarked head with brown stationary eyes, an open mouth with six upper teeth, and a rosy complexion. The body is fully articulated wood and composition. When the head is turned, the legs move forward and backward in a walking motion, also activating a voice box in the torso which is meant to simulate the words "mama" and "papa". The dress could be original but is melting. The wig is antique mohair, somewhat worn. The smaller doll, 18-1/2" (48cm), has no incised markings but has a red stamp at the base of the neck saying "Tete Jumeau". She has an open mouth with four upper teeth, brown glass sleep eyes with lower painted lashes and silk upper lashes. She is strung to a fully articulated French wood and composition body with a stamp on the torso reading "Bebe Jumeau". She wears a replacement silk costume, which is faded to a light lavender and well made, with antique coral colored leather shoes with buckles and a somewhat newer blond human hair wig with long curls. Both dolls have some typical age wear to the bodies.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: Largest: 21" x 9" x 4 - 1/2".
LOT OF 2: LATER JUMEAU-TYPE DOLLS.
