This lot consists of a marble statue of Daniel Webster. The artist has depicted Webster full figured, with one of his hands tucked into the breast of his jacket. He dons a long tailed coat with dress pants, a collared button down shirt and a bow tie. The artist has Webster standing on top of a tasseled rug and next to a clothed column and several books at his feet. When looking at Webster, he has a stern look on his face. On the back of the statue, the artist has signed the piece, "T. Ball Sculp. Boston, Mass., 1856." There is also a patent present on the base on the verso. Overall the piece appears to be in good condition with normal wear present.
