Single-Sided Tin Sign with Original Wood Backing. Shows original Press Sign Company, St. Louis, MO. Makers Label intact on the back side. An incredibly impressive sign, found new old stock in pristine condition, showing large "Wareco Willie" Service Station Attendant graphic. Ware-Rogers Oil Company, Springfield, Illinois. C. 1950s. CONDITION: Sign is outstanding, showing brilliant color and gloss throughout, with only the faintest amount of light storage wear. Edges and mounting holes are in excellent condition as well, showing little to no noticeable wear. The original wood bracing on the backside is also in outstanding condition, showing little to no age wear with original paint intact. The finest example of this sign that we have ever sold, and an impressively large display piece from Wareco.
