This was a standard advertisement of the Illinois Watch Company out of Springfield, Illinois. When they advertised the "Lincoln Watch" these oil on canvas were commissioned and framed exactly alike, then given to jewelers who were selling the Illinois Watch Company Lincoln Watch. Very early watch advertising in all original condition. CONDITION: Shows some areas of dirt and dust that have gotten into the oil painting that could be enhanced with a good cleaning. Some light scuffs and scratches to the original gilded frame, but nothing that distracts from the overall advertising.
