DSP. The finest example of this C. 1940's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Chief Gasoline to have ever publicly sold with this example showing "Idaho" identification along the top edge. Sign features unique colors throughout as well as an outstanding Native American Chief in full bonnet graphic throughout each side and is a product of advertisement from Wasatch Oil Company. CONDITION: Side one is overall outstanding showing brilliant color & gloss throughout the field with an outstanding condition graphic. Side one shows two very minor chips in the upper left field with an outstanding condition graphic and wear free script. Side one shows one chip at the upper right edge as well as one chip along the lower left edge with damage free mounting holes and a clean edge, Grade 9.0. Side two shows an outstanding condition Native American graphic as well as chip free script but does show some minor areas of cloudiness and staining in the blue porcelain, most of which is not noticeable unless in direct light. Side two shows two minor chips in the upper field as well as two minor edge chips at the right upper and lower edge. The remaining outer edge is bright and damage free and overall side two displays incredibly well, Grade 8.75. One of the finest examples known of this very scarce and beautiful Sign from Chief Gasoline.
