Without question one of Marklin's finest toys and very few examples known - an extremely rare opportunity to have one on the open market. CONDITION: Retains original hose reels and hoses. Two hose reel mounts re-attached. Retains four period firefighters and three more contemporary firefighters. Lamps are replacements. Magnificent brass boiler. Retains all original fittings. Excellent to near mint condition overall - undoubtedly one of the finest remaining examples of this rare and extraordinary toy. PROVENANCE: This particular example originally surfaced at an antique show in New England in the early 1980s before finding itself into the Sage Collection, being one of the premier pieces of the Collection.
CORRECTION: Original Marklin stack but from Steam Plant.
