SSP. A Great Northern Railway porcelain sign herald, removed from Great Northern Locomotive No. 215, an ALCO RS-2, 1500 HP roadswitcher, serial No. 77400, shipped September 19th, 1949, scrapped at General Electric's Erie Works, May 1965. CONDITION: The color, gloss and graphic on this sign are spectacular. The sign shows minor areas of surface scratching and staining. There are also a few minor areas of gloss failure around the hanging holes and small areas of porcelain loss at the extreme outer edges of the sign. A great sign in nice displaying condition that would be difficult to improve upon.
