Very rare horse boots worn over the horses hooves to prevent damage to lawns during rolling or mowing. Leather-constructed boots are unmarked but have excellent design. They probably are late 19th to very early 20th century. These are shown on page 109 of the book "Tennis Antiques and Collectibles" by Jeanne Cherry.
