Popular in the 1880's for its large front wheel and small back wheel, it was the first of its kind. The name comes from the British pennies and farthings, one being greater in size than the other. Its time was short lived but it became a symbol of the Victorian era. Made mostly of cast iron with a leather seat and lined wheels. At 57" tall, the large wheel has a 50" diameter. The small wheel has a 16" diameter with the handle bar being 16" long. As you run to create some speed, a small peg on the left side of the bicycle helps lift your body over the seat.
Condition: (Good).
Item Dimensions: 57"T x 50"Dia.
