This lot consists of a portrait of President James Buchanan, President of the United States. Depicted in this image is the President seated at a table with a faded red tablecloth, as he sits among a great hall, as there are columns surrounding him. It appears that the artist captured President Buchanan while he was in the middle of writing something, as he has a piece of paper in one and a pen in the other. To the right of the image, the column is in shadow with a red curtain with gold colored tassels draped over some of it. This same curtain is also present on the left side of the image. The image is framed in a simple wooden frame under glass. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
