SSP. Very scarce C. 1940's Porcelain Sign for Howard Johnson's Ice Cream showing unique and detailed Dog, Boy & Baker graphics. CONDITION: Signs shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field showing some minor areas of light chipping as well as some minimal surface scratch. The interior of the sign is completely original but the entire outer edge in the brown and blue colors has been professionally restored from between 1" & 3" in from the edges. The outer edge is very clean and is color matched perfectly displaying well. Sign shows an added wood frame that compliments the piece well and shows a wood backing for sturdiness and hanging properly. A well displaying example of this rarity from Howard Johnson's.
