Very fine example of a Japanese type 100 bayonet complete with scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet exhibits the manufacture marking for Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, which was under the supervision of the Nagoya Arsenal. CONDITION: The blade is excellent and retains almost all of its original arsenal applied dark blue finish, only exhibiting light wear and evidence of an older sharpening. The wood grips display handling wear including various dents and scratches. The scabbard is straight with no major blemishes and great finish. The leather frog is pliable and all of the stitching is tight and serviceable. There are creases and folds in the leather with some slight cracking on the belt loop and pock marks on the reverse. Verdigris around brass components. This is a great example of a scarce bayonet. Overall Excellent.
