RARE SUNSET PACIFIC OIL CO. POMATTO NO. 1 PAINTED TIN SIGN WITH ORIGINAL WOOD FRAME
DST. C. 1920s. An incredibly rare sign from Sunset Pacific Oil Company, showing an oil well designation with pointing hand graphic. Sign also shows the earliest script style for Sunset as well as its earlier "Sunset Pacific" name. CONDITION: Each side showing very good color with an excellent patina throughout showing just light age and paint wear with a great alligatoring to the surface. Minor scratches and paint loss, but overall very well displaying. Sign showing its original wood frame retaining a large majority of its original paint. An outstanding one of a kind piece and a rare piece of early California Petroleum history.
