Third Reich NSKK officer kepi. Made for the NSKK "National Socialist Motor Corps" which was the successor organization to the previous NSAK "National Socialist Automobile Corps". Mainly training members in the maintenance and operation of motorcycles and automobiles. Kepi is made from a high quality light brown wool with officer silver bullion piping and a stiffened peak. Hand applied flat wire one piece NSKK banner and eagle on the front. False flap is secured by the correct aluminum button. Complete with leather chinstrap above visor, which is secured by black painted steel buttons pinned through the cap. Full leather sweatband is present, but separated from the cap on the right side for about 11 inches, with some dry areas. Oil cloth head liner and brown cotton twill liner on the sides. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. Fabric shows no stains or areas of loss aside from a small hole underneath the chinstrap and small area of mothing in the rear. Overall a fine example of an uncommon Third Reich NSKK hat.
