A phenomenal example of a Tiffany Studios peacock table lamp on its matching peacock base. The peacock is a beloved motif of Tiffany, and this impressive table lamp is one of the most iconic and beautiful variants. The leaded glass shade features a peacock inspired pattern, complete with feathers and brilliantly colored eyes. The background is artfully done with deep saturated purples towards the top progressing to softer lavenders and blues as it descends downward, finally terminating in emerald greens and yellows along the lower apron. Shade is further punctuated with intense peacock eyes in shades of mottled orange, electric green and deep blue. Shade is signed "Tiffany Studios New York 1472-7." Shade sits on the rare and matching peacock base. This monumental base is composed of gorgeous patinated bronze in a rich reddish-brown with verdigris accents. The base has delicate scale pattern with elongated feathers extending down vertically. The foot of the base is decorated with a stunning pattern of peacock eyes, composed of inset Favrile mosaic glass. Underside of the base is signed "Tiffany Studios New York 7877." Comes with later heat cap. CONDITION: Shade is in excellent condition, free of any loose or missing glass. Just a small number of very tight and stable heat cracks.
