T.S. & J.D. Negus New York Marine Chronometer, no. 2133, with 4-in. diameter silvered brass dial inscribed "T.S. & J.D. NEGUS / New York No 2133", Roman numerals, up/down indicator and seconds dial below, gilt spade hour hands, blued-steel seconds, screw-fit glazed bezel, brass gimbal and bowl, chain drive fusee movement, in a three-tier, brass-bound, rosewood box with brass carrying handles. Box measures 7-5/8" X 7-5/8" and 7-5/8" high. Box contained in a felt-lined mahogany box of recent manufacture. Excellent running condition. CORRECTION: Photo added.
