First series. 24 celluloid packs inside $1 picture box. Only a few examples known. All cards untouched, but some plastic to cellos have tears. Marked "Manufactured by Gum Inc., Philadelphia, PA", "Complete First Series of Pictures and True Stories of Modern Warfare". There are 240 Horrors of War cards in this set. Top cards show mostly pictures of battle of Japan inside China. Nice coloring. A true rare item.
